To say the summer season was eventful is a great understatement as Mansfield, Massachusetts was conquered by countless world renowned acts that brought together thousands upon thousands of fans! All gathered at the legendary Xfinity Center where the greatest performers hit the big stage! The summer season welcomes some of the biggest names in the circuit – some are legendary solo acts and others are iconic bands, and all are the most astounding performers one coud ever see! May
The concert season started pretty early at the Xfinity Center. Before the end of spring, the venue served some piping hot shows featuring the legendary Neil Young and Crazy Horse. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer hit the road with a fantastic back up band and a gargantuan catalog comprising his solo works, music from the equally legendary Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Still, Nash, and Young, and tons more. Fans definitely raged out as this influential music figure belted out six decades worth of amazing hits.
From O.G. rockers to new school rappers. May was definitely banging with some great tunes. 21 Savage’s got some magnificent titles and he tore up Xfinity Center with cutting edge rhymes and some pretty sick bars. The rap phenom dropped titles like “Redrum,” “Rich Flex,” “No Heart,” and plenty of sensationa covers. It was a great start to 2024’s concert season at the Xfinity Center and it was only a sign for much, much more to come!
June
The moment it hit June, Xfinity Center blew up with life as the arrivals of pop icons, country sensations, and indie rock phenoms had music fans scrambling for tickets. Lucky for those who were able to attend these adrenaline rushing extravaganzas, the shows were treated with top caliber production. The month hosted some pretty exciting showdowns, including Kiss Concert ‘24, a festival from Kiss 108FM, which happened to be headlined by Grammy winning songstress Doja Cat. It was summer’s hottest spectacle and Doja Cat definitely served the heat.
A week after the Kiss Concert ‘24, Hank Williams Jr. brought his gargantuan production into the Xfinity Center. The highly versatile artist and multi instrumentalist delivered a concert of epic proportions and you betch he brought along his gargantuan catalog for the ride. Of course, the country sensation cherry picked the biggest hits and amazing crowd pleasers.
Another pop sensation came to town – it was Nial Horran who’s in town to promote his latest album, The Show. This unprecedented work solidified his place as a world renowned solo pop star. The former One Direction definitely stepped into his own light and had fans screaming up a storm while he performed his biggest titles. If you were there on this amazing night, lucky you!
June becomes so much more triumphant with the jaw dropping co-headlining showdown of indie rock powerhouses Modest Mouse and Pixies and rock band Hardy along with special guests Kip Moore, Travis Denning, and Ella Langley.
July
This month opened with a groundbreaking bang as Xfinity Center welcomed the arrival of the highly sought-after Outlaw Music Festival. This grand music festival featured performances by the literal music legends, including Willie Nelson and Family, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, and Allison Kraus. This year, the Outlaw Music Festival line up comprised jaw dropping heavy weights and fans were pumped like hell when these legends hit the stage.
Another throwback rager filled up Xfinity Center when pop rock icon Alanis Morrisette arrived for her tour, bringing along femme fatales Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Morgan Wade. It was an evening packed with female power and there was no shortage of energy or magnificent talent because these ladies definitely brought their A-game. Morissette serves some remarkable titles like “Hand In My Pocket,” “Head Over Feet,” “Thank You,” “Uninvited,” and tons more.
Moreover, monumental jam bands came into Xfinity Center and they brought their massive fan bases along for the ride. Dave Matthews Band and Phish both have gargantuan setlists to serve and they did so with their superb musical prowess. During their shows, immense talent was overflowing and their riveting live sets absolutely put fans in a fantastic state of trance. Dave Matthews Band delivered a one-night only spectacle while Phish had a three-night sold out extravaganza!
For the rest of July, Xfinity Center also hosted astounding shows by Sammy Hagar, Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire for their Heart and Soul Tour, Limp Bizkit, Santana, Counting Crows. I was heavyweight after heavyweight this season and the venue was fully packed all the way to the brim!
August
If you think summer is about to be over, well it was just getting started! August had double the heat as the sizzling hot line-up brought some heavy weights into town. Starting with Styx and Foreigner, it was a throwback fest like no other. The Regenagades & Jukebox Heroes Tour celebrated massive legacies that brought some of the most beloved rock hits to ever grace the earth. These monumental rockers brought along special guest John Waite, making the evening even more spectacular.
As you can see co-headlining tours are all the rage this 2024 and Xfinity Center had no shortage of that. The venue welcomed Train and REO Speedwagon’s Summer Road Trip, which also brought in the remarkable Yacht Rock Revue. It was a thrilling retrospective trip as this highly diverse spectacle delivered hits from different eras. Stick Figure and Soja also joined heads for massiv reggae showdown. These performers absolutely blew some minds as they performed smashing hits and crowd pleasers.
September
As the concert season came to a close, the Xfinity Center made sure to go out with a literal bang. This time, it’s avmonumental head bang worthy rager featuring 90s rock gods Stone Temple Pilots and Live. Together, these rockers brought the Jubilee Tour which also feature guest performances from Soul Asylum and Our Lady Peace. The headliners celebrated their three-decade legacy by serving the most smashing titles, including “Sex Type Thing,” “Dead and Bloated,” “Plush,” “Lighting Crashes,” “i Alone,” and tons more.
If headbang raging contests were a thing, the Freaks on Parade had probably won the competition hands down. Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper joined forces to deliver the most spooky and monumental debauchery. These shock rock icons sure knew how to deliver a show and together they had audiences crossing over to the dark side. “From Cooper’s legendary stage antics to Zombie’s explosive energy, the concert was a perfect mix of horror, showmanship, and rock and roll at its finest,” wrote Loud Hailer Magazine. The writer also praised Zombie for his outstanding grand finale. “The crowd erupted as Zombie, still full of energy, led the final chorus, cementing his place as one of the most dynamic performers in rock. From start to finish, Zombie delivered a high-octane, horror-infused spectacle that left fans screaming for more.”
The month was mighty packed – like something insanely was happening each day. Some of the most notable performances include showdowns from The National, War on Drugs, Pitbull, Meghan Trainor who brought in her highly rated Timeless Tour, Korn, and Gojira. Let’s not forget the most massive reggae extravaganza which came in the form of a reunion. The Marley Brothers delivered the Legacy Tour, a celebration of their father Bob Marley’s 50 years worth of music.

2025 and beyond
It’s safe to say that the Xfinity Center is definitely one of Massachusettes most popular concert destination. Each year, the shows are getting bigger and bigger, and facilities are on a constant update. The venue is equipped with cutting edge sound and lights, making the experience an enjoyable one. Guests are also provided with great security and easy access. Lines going in and out smooth while food and bar options are plentiful.
This 2025, Xfinity Center promises another season of fully packed spectacles of world renowned artist, bands with gigantic productions, and touring powerhouses that bring in fans by the thousands.
