Imagine Dragons come to Mansfield, Massachusetts' Xfinity Center on Tuesday, August 6th 2024 for their highly anticipated 2024 tour. And, Songs from the new album, Loom, will definitely make the set list, lead singer Dan Reynolds already considers it the band's most high energy album yet! But don't worry, there will be plenty of older hits like, "Radioactive", "Demons", "Believer", "Thunder", and "Natural", for you to sing along with! The Imagine Dragons Loom World Tour 2024 takes off from Camden, NJ, in July and finally crashes back town in late October around Los Angeles, but will most likely head further afield to Europe and more later in the fall. The tour is to support the band's latest album, Loom, out late June 2024.
Talking at an interview about the album, “Is the beginning of something new, or is this the end of something? And the sunset and the sunrise always kind of feels that way to me. It could be either/or.” Reynolds said about the cover artwork, and the title of the new album having multiple meanings. “Just because something is looming doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. It could be good,” he says. “I also love the idea of the double meaning of it, kind of being a tapestry.”
"Eyes Closed," the first single off the new album, was also released recently, and you can immediately hear the dragons in it, with some serious chest-pounding lyrics: “I’m back from the dead, from the back of my head/Been gone and facin’ horrors that should never be said.” Reynolds stated that he was attempting a blustery, arrogant vibe for the track, but somehow some vulnerability slipped in. “It really was about being something that on the outside looks put together and strong,” he said, “but on the inside it’s on the verge of maybe shattering.”
The tour will crisscross North America in support of, Loom, traveling to Dallas, Seattle, Toronto, West Palm Beach, in Florida, Denver, Charlotte, in North Carolina, Phoenix, Salt Lake City before finishing it up at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. And for fans in any of these cities, Reynolds has a message for when you get to the gig, “It’s just a lot of people in a room together realizing they’re not alone in their feelings,” he said. “I don’t necessarily need them to feel happy or sad or anything. I just want them to look around them and see that other people are also feeling something and feeling, ‘I’m not alone in that.’”
