The Doobie Brothers at Xfinity Center

Band names are important. But when the original lineup of The Doobie Brothers first chose their name, it was treated as anything but. The name was suggested to them by their neighbour and friend who came up with it because the band was always smoking weed. Despite the band swearing to change it as soon as they came up with something better, the name stuck once they played their first few shows. And now, it’s the name millions of people get excited over, look forward to, even; the name that’s on t-shirts and ticket sites. The Doobie Brothers are rock n roll legends. And now, in 2025, they’re taking on the whole world. Their upcoming tour will kick off this July on the 11th in Glasgow, Scotland at the OVO Hydro, and will continue trekking across Europe for the rest of the month. By August 4th, The Doobie Brothers will make their way closer to home with a show in Clarkston, Michigan at the Pine Knob Music Theatre. This show will be followed by a few dozen dates across the United States, including a show at the Xfinity Center just outside Boston.
